Capitalize on Rank, Count and Position
To Capitalize is To Progress Your Catholic Website
Along the way of building your website and adding more webpages, you will discover
that there is a need to capitalize on rank, count and position in order to progress
your site. To capitalize on rank, count and position means to use all the webpages
that have good PageRank, good traffic rank, high traffic count, and are in the top
percentile of your niche in the leading search engines. The technique is simple.
All you need to do to successfully capitalize on these webpages in order to steadily
progress your website is to take all the webpages with all the good qualities mentioned
above and use them in your navigation systems. What I do is I make two navigation
systems. I place one on top. Usually the ones with good PageRank I place in the
top navigation. The other navigation system I place in the left column. And the
ones with good traffic count and high traffic rate are included there. When you
do this then you will surely capitalize on the webpages that give good quality to
your website. The webpage you have placed these navigation systems has a high
potential of being of high quality since the links are all of quality material.
How Do I Proceed With This Technique?
1. You must install the Google bar in your Internet Explorer browser and put the
option to have the PageRank rater in the Google bar. This way, you will know which
of your pages have a good PageRank. Getting a PageRank of PR 3 or PR 4 is already
good. Capitalize on them.
2. Examine your statistics for traffic. Try to make a record of which webpages have
high traffic count and also have a high rate of traffic increase. Some use online
tools for this, but you can make your own simple charts in order to analyze the
results even when you are offline and away from the computer. Pick at least the
best 10-15 webpages and keep track of them. Capitalize on them too.
3. Check the search engine positions of your webpages. The best way to check is
through Google. Type your niche on the search box and find out the results given
for that niche. Check which webpages of yours are in the top 100 of the results
pages of Google. Note them, keep track of them, and chart their positioning
regularly. Capitalize on them too.
4. Note your traffic rank. The Alexa toolbar has a traffic rank rater incorporated
in its toolbar. You will know the traffic rank of your website through the toolbar
of Alexa. Capitalize on this and you will see your traffic rank progress steadily.
Always Improve, Always Add Fresh Content, Always Tweak Your Sites
Whenever you find your webpages getting good PageRanks, achieving high traffic
counts, getting placed in the top percentile of the search engine's results, and
obtaining a good traffic rank, it must not stop there. You need to capitalize all
the more on these quality webpages. This is not a form of greed. It is because of
the Catholic mission that we are trying to fulfill. With good quality webpages,
all the Catholic content in our websites get more visibility. And with more traffic
arriving at those webpages, people will be able to read about the Catholic faith
from a simple and pure perspective. Thus, to capitalize on your high quality
webpages does not mean you capitalize for the sake of just achieving progress.
There is a much more noble goal we aim for than just to capitalize for progress.
And that noble goal is to capitalize on the progress of our Catholic faith and the
propagation and sustaining of all the institutions that are connected with it.
For us Catholic webauthors, let us capitalize "to make the face of Christ seen"
and let us capitalize "to make the voice of Christ heard" on the Internet.
Thus, we must always improve, always add fresh content, and always tweak our sites
so that this noble goal of ours may be fully achieved. Improving our website can
be done in many ways: through the navigation system, the good content, and the
logical flow of the website. As regards fresh and new content, we can do this
by constantly updating both our knowledge of the Catholic faith and also our
knowledge of Internet technology and techniques. And with regard to always
tweaking our websites, this has to do with search engine optimization techniques.
This is also where we can capitalize: through a spirit of constant improvement,
through inspired and high quality content, and through regular tweaking of our
websites. Let us not hesitate nor tarry in this Catholic Internet Mission. Let
us capitalize all that we are able to capitalize so that the Gospel of Christ may
be proclaimed in as many Internet niches as possible and also so that the Catholic
faith may have high visibility in these Internet niches.
